About & mission

Founders

I, Lyn Brinkley, co-founded H.E.L.P. with my other high school friend Mary Fleming. We saw conflicts going unresolved and escalating into something else altogether. So, we created a safe, structured place for students to talk things out. H.E.L.P. — Huntsville Engaged and Listening Peers — our student-led peer mediation program, was built to give other students another option than staying quiet or continuing to fight with one another.

Our mission is to give every student a fair, confidential, judgement-free path to resolving conflict. Drama free, and led by peers who listen first and take both sides seriously.

How it works

01

Reach out

Tell us what's going on and who's involved. Everything you share stays private.

02

Sit down together

Two trained peer mediators guide a calm, structured conversation between everyone involved.

03

Walk away with a plan

You leave with an agreement you helped write yourselves — not one handed to you.
