Helping students resolve conflict with respect

H.E.L.P. — Huntsville Engaged and Listening Peers — is a student-led peer mediation program that gives students a safe, structured way to address conflict. Through confidential conversations guided by trained peer mediators, students are encouraged to listen carefully, understand different perspectives, and work together toward practical solutions.

Our founders

H.E.L.P. was founded by high school students Lyn Brinkley and Mary Fleming after they recognized a need for a better way to address conflict among their peers. Too often, misunderstandings were left unresolved or allowed to escalate. They created H.E.L.P. to provide students with a constructive alternative: a place where they can communicate openly, feel heard, and take an active role in resolving their differences.
